Content Filter
In accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and IMT's Internet Filtering Policy, APU reserves the right to restrict access to websites with inappropriate content. If a student feels that our content filter is inadequate, or if he/she is concerned about what his/her roommates and friends access from his/her computer, the student can download a personal content filter to supplement the one provided by the university.

Network-Wide
When a website is requested on RezNet, the content filter checks for strong sexual content, nudity and gambling on the site in question. If none is found, the site is displayed; if content that falls into any of these categories is detected, a short message (including the website address and content category) will be displayed. Attempts to access restricted content are not traced to specific users.

If a site is erroneously restricted, please email the website address to the IMT Support Desk at support@apu.edu. Please also include the date when you attempted to visit the website.

Personal
A surfeit of personal content filters are available on the internet; some are freely distributed and others must be purchased. IMT recommends the free content filter offered through We-Blocker. For assistance with installation or configuration, please contact the IMT Support Desk.
