Data Backup Services



As a free service to APU students, IMT offers data backups to all students who request it. Only Mac and PC computers are supported platforms for the service. Students are required to provide IMT a backup medium for their data to be completely migrated. Acceptable media includes:

  • External Hard Drive (with adequate capacity)
  • USB Flash Drive(s)
  • Blank DVD-DL (8.5 GB)
  • Blank DVD-R/DVD+R (4.7 GB)
  • Blank CD-R (700 MB)

Copyrighted materials will not be backed up during this process. This Includes but is not limited to:
  • Music
  • Videos
  • Applications or Programs

For students with damaged, dying, or problematic hard drives, a data backup will be attempted. IMT will try to rescue data to the best of their ability, but in no way does this guarantee that any data will be able to be backed up. 		   
Regular Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Summer Hours:
Monday-Thursday 7 a.m.- 8 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m - 5 p.m.
