Cougars' Den
The Cougars' Den is the university portal. (It replaced üdeupa at the beginning of the 2004-05 school year.) It provides access to email, grades, class registration, and other university services. Since its launch in 1999, üdeupa had provided access to university services online. As APU has grown significantly, a new platform was needed in order to improve current services and take the university into the future.
Students can log in to the Cougars' Den using their APU Network Account. "APU Network Account" consists of an APU NetID and password (formerly known as üdeupa username and password). If you had an üdeupa account, your username and password remain the same. An APU Network Account must also be used to access RezNet, sign up for long distance telephone service (dormitories and Shire H Court only), log on to clusters computers, and utilize library services (such as Link+).
The first time a student logs in to the Cougars' Den, they will be prompted to supply answers to a series of challenge questions. These challenge questions are part of the new Password Reset Tool which enables students to reset their APU Network Password without calling the IMT Support Desk. In the event that a password is forgotten, students can simply click on "Forgot your password?" and provide APU ID number, APU NetID, partial Social Security Number, and answers to the challenge questions completed.
