APU Network Account

APU Network Account Overview
Every student who attends APU is issued a free APU Network Account prior to arriving on campus. Many students are not aware of the benefits of using their account and thus disregard it. For many, it is an unacknowledged or underused resource. Essentially, an APU Network Account allows for the consolidation of identities. One username will allow you to access residence internet, email, campus resources, and library services.
Services include, but are not limited to:
- A full-service email account, accessible through the internet as well as through mail programs such as Microsoft Outlook
- Spam protection through Symantec Brightmail Antispam
- Access to residence internet (wireless and wired access in on-campus living areas)
- The ability to check class openings and register for classes (including early semester add/drop)
- Access to grade reports and unofficial transcripts
- Summary of student financial account charges accrued
- A schedule of upcoming chapel speakers
- Library services, such as a searchable library catalog, book reservations, and access to Link+
- Facilities Management online work order submission system
- Shell access to home.apu.edu through SSH and FTP
- 30MB of storage that can be accessed from anywhere on campus and used to store files and publish websites
